Who We Are:

Orange County Democrats are activists, workers, elected officials, and party members. We are dedicated to advancing Democratic values throughout the county, state, and nation.

The Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) is the official organization representing more than 680,000 registered Democratic voters in Orange County, California.

Making History — Again and Again

Orange County Democrats keep scoring historic victories in recent elections. In 2018, we famously swept all seven Congressional seats in Orange County. In 2019, OC Democrats overtook countywide voter registration to become the region’s leading political party. In 2020, OC Democrats flipped 20 local seats and two state senate seats from red to blue, including in deep-red areas of the county. In 2021, voters elected Katrina Foley to the Orange County  Board of Supervisors – the first female Democrat to serve on the Board. In 2022, Democrats won a majority on the Board of Supervisors for the first time since the 1970s with the election of Supervisor Vicente Sarmiento. In 2023-24, Democrats helped defeat a recall of Santa Ana Council member Jessie Lopez and participated in the recall of two extremist Orange Unified School District school board members

Orange County is the nation’s sixth-largest county, with 3.2 million residents.
